Organic Lifestyle

So today we are going to talk about what it means to live an organic lifestyle. I mean in these blogs we explore a lot of subjects that are all a part of an organic lifestyle. So today I want to explore how do we really incorporate this lifestyle into the everyday. I feel like for me this is an ever changing process as I constantly am learning and changing.

Movement:

  • Let’s start by saying an organic lifestyle involves movement and exercise. This movement could be gardening, playing with your kids, and going for a bike ride. Movement doesn’t mean you have to go to a gym and grunt it out lifting big weights to impress people. I personally like working out at home and keeping exercise light and fun.
  • We are built to move and not built to sit all day.
  • Let’s find a way to adopt this in our lives and with the rule of always keeping it fun.
  • There are great places that offer fun exercise classes like Zumba, Pilates, and dance.

Cleansing:

  • The pursuit of a clean body is a journey we are all on. The body is an amazing detoxifying machine. We need to find ways in our lives to clean everything we use on a daily basis up. What do I mean by that? Let’s start with food because I think that is the most obvious I mean let’s buy organic.
  • Organic food will take a major toxic load off of the body.
  • Let’s talk clothes - yes we can even make sure we buy organic clothes.
  • Like layers to an onion though let’s just keep it to the top stuff but we can start looking into every aspect of our lives so here is a list of things we can make organic or all natural:
  • Skin care
  • Makeup
  • Hair care
  • Clothes
  • Building materials
  • Jewelry
  • Drinks
  • Supplements
  • Toothpaste

So as you can see the list is deep. I suggest starting with your food and then slowly make changes for each on keeping with the rule of fun and finding what works best for you.

Stress Reduction:

A huge part of living an organic lifestyle is getting rid of stress. Now I am not talking about being a fake hippy who has no cares because let’s face it that’s not reality at least not for me. We need to look into the aspects of our lives that stress us out and deal with them. We need to stop putting masking tape on the issues and deal with them face to face.

  • For me, the burden of unforgiveness is a huge stress so forgiving is a big part of my life to let go of those who have hurt me or wounds I hold on to.
  • So for me, my belief in Christ and walking with him helps every aspect of this in my life. To cast off the cares of the world and not be anxious helps me to let go of the things that hold us back the most.
  • Prayer and meditating.
  • Hearing humbling and inspiring stories to see that our situation is a cake walk compared to those around us.

Conclusion:

I hope this blog inspires you and helps you on your journey to a better lifestyle. I get so much joy writing these blogs and hearing the positive feedback from you. I hope to continue to bless you and your friends and family. Stay tuned next blog we will talk about a herb that is changing the face of nutrition on this planet, Moringa.
